AIREA Advocates for Industry Interests at High-Level Board of Trade Meeting
The All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA) is proud to announce that our President, Shri Satish Goel, successfully represented the association and the wider agricultural export industry at the recent high-level Board of Trade meeting.
The highly productive session, which was dedicated to strengthening India's export ecosystem, was chaired by the Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Shri Piyush Goyal, alongside Minister of State Shri Jitin Prasad, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) Shri Luv Aggarwal, and other distinguished senior government officials.
During the dialogue, Shri Goel championed the voice of the rice export industry by raising critical concerns and advocating for strategic support. His comprehensive proposals focused on several core areas:
Trade Policy Enhancement: Proposing actionable solutions to enhance broader trade policies and refine export promotion strategies.
Financial Support: Advocating for an increase in the ceiling for the Interest Equalisation Scheme to provide better financial backing and liquidity for exporters.
RoDTEP Revisions: Requesting the targeted revision of RoDTEP rates to offer more robust and realistic support to the export community.
Supply Chain & Logistics: Addressing pressing logistical challenges, specifically tackling the burden of soaring ocean freight rates and the imposition of war risk surcharges.
Government Appreciation: Expressing our industry's deep gratitude to the government for the successful implementation of the highly impactful ECGC RELIEF scheme.
The engagement was incredibly fruitful, reinforcing AIREA’s commitment to advocating for India's export growth at the highest levels of government. We look forward to continuing our close, productive collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to drive the export industry forward and achieve sustained global success.
