AIREA Delegation Meets Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Rice Trade

New Delhi — In a significant step toward bolstering agricultural trade and diplomatic ties, an official delegation from the All India Rice Exporters Association (AIREA) recently held a high-level meeting with Dr. Ghanbari, the Honorable Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy of Iran, alongside senior government officials.

Iran has historically been, and continues to be, a deeply valuable and strategic market for the Indian Basmati rice industry. The bilateral dialogue focused on reinforcing this critical trade partnership, addressing operational challenges, and identifying mutual growth opportunities.

Key Highlights of the Discussion
The high-level deliberations centered on three core pillars aimed at ensuring the long-term stability of the Basmati export sector:
Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation: Both sides explored fresh avenues to deepen trade relations, looking to drive robust economic growth that benefits stakeholders in both nations.
Ensuring Seamless Operations: The delegation discussed streamlining logistical and administrative frameworks. The primary goal is to minimize bottlenecks and establish a smooth, uninterrupted supply chain for rice exports.
Protecting Exporters' Interests: AIREA leadership raised key on-the-ground concerns faced by Indian exporters, emphasizing the need for regulatory clarity and stability to safeguard the interests of the trade community.
Commitment to Global Trade Growth
Following the successful meeting, AIREA Leadership reiterated its ongoing commitment to working closely with international diplomatic bodies and foreign leadership. By proactively engaging with strategic partners like Iran, the association aims to swiftly resolve trade challenges, open new market doors, and champion the sustainable growth of Indian rice exports globally.

"Our sincere thanks to Dr. Ghanbari and the senior Iranian officials for their time, collaborative spirit, and shared vision for a stronger trade future."
