AIREA meeting with Secretary of Ministry of ports shipping & waterways and submitted request for increase of additional berths at Kandla Port for Basmati break-bulk cargo to address the acute container shortage and high freight rates, keeping in view of the new Basmati crop season to ensure timely exports and protect exporters and farmers. The Secretary assured us and instructed related authorities to take immediate action in terms of providing desired solutions to us.
