Meeting with Hon’ble Minister of Food and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Pralhad Joshi, was highly constructive. During the discussion, we had the opportunity to present our concerns and suggestions regarding the Minimum Export Price (MEP) issue. The minister listened to our views attentively and expressed his understanding of the challenges we face as an industry.
Encouragingly, Sh. Joshi indicated that we can expect a positive response to our concerns in the near future. This gives us hope that our collective efforts will soon lead to favorable developments for the Basmati rice export sector.
