Indusfood: Indusfood is the unrivalled leader of the most important integrated F&B trade event in the South Asia, where the future of the food industry unfolds. With over 1,800 exhibitors, 180+ international exhibitors, and 20+ country pavilions, Indusfood addresses the underutilized potential of India’s processed food exports. The event spans over 80,000 square meters, attracting more than 5,000 global buyers and 100+ supermarket chains and e-retailers.

Inauguration of the event:
Shri Chirag Paswan, Hon’ble Minister for Food Processing Industries, inaugurated the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 at the Expo Centre, Greater Noida. The event was graced by Baba Ramdev as the Guest of Honour. The inauguration witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Shri MohitSingla, Chairman TPCI; ShriAbhishekDev, Chairman APEDA; Shri Aashish Agrawal, MD, Shri BikharamChandmal; and ShriAakash Shah, Director, Everest Food Products, along with industryleaders, distinguished guests, and buyers from across the globe.

AIREA’s participation at the event: AIREA participated in Indusfood 2025 through 24sqm stall in Hall No. 7, Stall No. J 006, which was tastefully decorated with Posters reflecting various areas of activities viz training of farmers, product testing laboratories and other infrastructure facilities of the rice industry. Other efforts at disseminating information included a hand-out for distribution, and video films depicting the process of cultivating Basmati rice and the counseling efforts of AIREA. AIREA also had a demarcated space that was used for meetings by participating exporters with stalls in the AIREA pavilion.
AIREA's participation was organized and managed by Ms. Srishti Anand, Director, Ms. Neelam , Office Executive &Ms. Priyanka Marwah , Office Executive.
Basmati Biryani Taste Sampling exercise at AIREA stall:AIREA had tied up arrangements for Biryani taste sampling for 2 days of the show, i.e. 8th& 9th January, 2025 respectively. The basmati rice was procured from the following AIREA members as per scheduled slots for sampling:
  • M/s Supple Tek Industries Pvt Limited
  • M/s Goel International

The preparation was most appreciated and there were large queues of visitors keenly waiting to taste the veg Biryani, chicken Biryani as well as sweet rice. Everyday two sessions were conducted; one in the forenoon and other in the afternoon. Each session sampled non-veg biryani prepared from 20 kg Basmati rice, veg Biryani prepared from 20 kg Basmati rice and sweet rice prepared from 10 kg Basmati rice.
Visitors enjoyed the taste of Basmati biryani and appreciated the same.
Conclusion: During the show, the AIREA team had catered to a large number of visitors to the stand seeking various kindly of information about functioning of AIREA, the role it plays, how to become a member and how to advertise in AIREA periodical ‘Rice India’ etc. AIREA team was able to provide appropriate information to visitors. An estimated large number of people sought membership of AIREA and showed inclination to advertise in RICE INDIA Magazine. A large number of enquiries were also received which are in the process of circulation to members.
The participation of AIREA was useful and several leads and prospective new members were found during the event. This year’s event was a much larger event and accordingly the number of visitors was also much larger.
